Margie Ryan
Margie has always had a creative imagination and a passion for art. At a young age her father quickly became aware of her talent and would buy her canvases so she could experiment and practice her interests. She studied photography, design, painting, drawing, and even sculpture. In 2006, Margie graduated from Rider University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Throughout her teaching career, she always incorporated illustration and artistic expression into her lessons. Soon after, she was inspired by a friend to further her passion for art and her love of children into a business. It was then Margie began face painting. She has attended several conventions and classes led by master face painters, and continues to fuel her passion from studying the talents of others in her field.
Her greatest accomplishment is the not the final product of her work, but the overly excited reactions to what she has created. In just a few minutes time, she develops a connection with the children and they in turn, take to her. They express what is in their imaginations and she magically transforms them into it. It is Margie's job to make that vision of theirs come alive. When the kids look in the mirror for the first time, there is no greater joy for Margie than knowing that what she truly painted, was a smile.

I have hired Sweet Cheeks for several parties now, and Margie is FANTASTIC!! She is truly an artist. She has a ton of designs to choose from, and if the kids didn't see something they absolutely loved, she did something off the top of her head. She once drew Dora off my daughter's sneaker. She's great with the kids, completely professional, and her prices can't be beat. I just hired her AGAIN for a party next week.

I attended a party that had hired Sweet Cheeks. My son is terrified of this kind of thing normally. Margie put him completely and totally at ease. Never rushing him or pushing him. She waited till he was ready, and when he was, gave him the most awesome design of a tiger. He loved it! And now is no longer afraid to get his face painted.

My daughter is very specific about things like face painting. We went to a party where Sweet Cheeks was doing the face painting and my daughter got a great design of a butterfly. She thought it was awesome. We were invited back the next year, and the very first thing she asked me was "Is Margie going to be there again?" As soon as she learned that she was, she set about finding a picture on the computer, which she then brought to the party and Margie was only too happy to copy that picture onto my daughter's face. She was beside herself with excitment! Margie is the best.

My famy & I love Halloween! It's fun to dress up & get your face painted. Last year was my youngest 1st Halloween, so we set out to have the best costumes! We succeeded all because of the awesome face painting done by Margie of Sweet Cheeks Face Painting. Her attention to detail & compassion for the kids makes for a great face painter!!

Margie,
I can't thank you enough for the great job you did face painting at my daughters birthday party as well as at our Daisy troop's end of year party. Your friendly and patient demeanor with the children and their requests is unmatched. Keep up the good work and we will be sure to use you for future parties and events.
